U4 LEAGUE (co-ed)
Who is the U4 League for?
A player who turns 4 this calendar year
The U4 division will provide the foundation of rules and play which will help your player transition to the U6 house-league level. These sessions will focus on two main key components, coordination and basic tactical soccer skills.
Please note: Teams are led by Lambeth Youth Soccer volunteer coaches who are provided with abundant training resources and in-person education to help them be effective in their roles.
How much parent supervision is needed?
Parents do not participate on the field in U4 soccer.

Tim Hortons, our U4 sponsor, provides all players with a jersey, shorts, and soccer socks. These items will be received on the first day of U4 soccer. Players need to wear shorts or loose-fitting pants and athletic shoes. Cleats and shin pads are optional for this age group.
Important to Note:
Players who turn three this calendar year may choose to join this division if they are able to engage in game play on the field without parent participation. Parents are not permitted on the field in U4 soccer. The U3 and U4 divisions are very popular and changing divisions will not be possible once the season begins.
This is the first year of game play for players. LYS U4 soccer is a “for fun” league where players are encouraged to do their best. Scoring on any net is a reason to cheer!
U4 teams do not play with goalies but are encouraged to use their developing skills of passing, dribbling, and striking the ball during game play.
Parents are asked to bring a nut-free snack for their players only should they need one mid-play. We always encourage a full reusable bottle of water for both practices and games.
Games are played, rain or shine, unless there is thunder and lightning or a heat advisory in effect. Any cancellations will be updated on the main page of this website.
We need coaches and volunteers!
Each team needs at least one coach for the season. Training sessions have been offered in the past and coaches will be given a coaching package to help get started.
Additionally if you have a child playing U4 soccer this year and would like to volunteer let us know.
