U8 LEAGUE (co-ed)
Who is the U8 League for?
A player who turns 7 or 8 this calendar year
The U8 division expands your player’s knowledge by learning the framework of the game, developing their soccer and physical literacy skills, and being a part of a team. In this division, players will participate in a two-day In-House Tournament held in June.
Please note: Teams are led by Lambeth Youth Soccer volunteer coaches who are provided with abundant training resources and in-person education to help them be effective in their roles.
Players will enjoy
One 50 minute game per week
with their team throughout the season.

Where we play
Each team will be assigned a “home field” where weekly practices will take place.
We want to thank our sponsors!
Players will be provided with team shirts, soccer socks and shorts thanks to the sponsorship of the companies below. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide proper soccer shoes and shin pads. Shin pads MUST be worn.
We have worked very hard to balance the teams by gender & age. We have also spoken to the coaches about the importance of instilling the values of teamwork and fair play during the season. Please reiterate this message when cheering for your child. We want to ensure a successful season for all players-regardless of experience or ability. Each player is entitled to equal playing time to develop their skills, and coaches have been asked to ensure this happens.
Parents are asked to bring a nut-free snack for their players only should they need one mid-play. We always encourage a full reusable bottle of water for both practices and games.
Games are played, rain or shine, unless there is thunder and lightning or a heat advisory in effect. Any cancellations will be updated on the main page of this website.
We need coaches and volunteers!
Each team needs at least one coach for the season. Training sessions have been offered in the past and coaches will be given a coaching package to help get started.
In the past, we have had some wonderful parents step forward to volunteer their time to ensure the teams have coaches. We hope this year will be no exception.
